Pastor Doug serves as the senior pastor for Markham Woods.  He grew up on the campuses of Adventist academies in Nebraska and Minnesota.  After graduating from Maplewood Academy he attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska where he majored in religion.  He sensed the calling to be a pastor when he was a junior in college.  He finished his M. Div. at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan where he met his future wife, Tatiana.

Pastor Doug has pastored for over 20 years prior to coming to Markham Woods in Colorado, California, Minnesota and overseas in the former Soviet Union and Middle East.  He has worked in local churches and church conferences as a pastor and administrator.

Pastor Doug enjoys missions, reading, playing golf, learning languages, playing trumpet, singing and spending time with his wife and two children, Nicole and Michael.

Pastor Doug loves showing people the love of God and leading them into a deeper walk with the Lord.  He believes that Markham Woods has one of the best philosophy of ministry statements that he has ever read and is excited to continue the tradition of excellence in ministry that has characterized the church since its creation.
